These frames are so kid friendly.  Instead of glass, they have plastic inserts.  This are from Walmart.  I have had plenty of pictures fall off the wall, or get knocked over then there is broken glass to deal with.  I LOVE displaying pictures, so I love this safe alternative!

Although the products on this site are more for parties, and sell a lot of it by the bulk.  You can still get some ideas for plasic alteratives :)

I love Bamboo for decorating!! It is not only beautiful and can be made into almost anything.  It is durable and extremely light wait.  It can have a lacquer finish on it as to make it look like glass, or have to natural mat finish. This is this perfect alternative to glass decor.
